2022 GMC HUMMER EV, A Revolution In Every Sense Possible.

In October,2020 Hummer made a return along with GMC. Since the day of its launch Hummer has got everyone electrified because of the supertruck's killer looks, technology used and power. Let me take you through the list of some one of its kind stuff in the Hummer EV.


1.Performance


The Hummer EV is indeed a supertruck, it is 100% battery operated making it quiet and eco friendly. It is powered by 3 permanent-magnet motors, 2 in the rear and one in the front making a 1000hp and a massive 15592Nm of Torque, no car present today on the road has torque even near to that, it is approximately 10times the torque than any road legal supercar or hypercar. The truck will do 0-60mph in less than 3.0 seconds and with the 35" tires made for every terrain. The truck lowers down upto 2" for enhanced aerodynamics. The Hummer EV also has 4 wheel steer which helps to reduce the turning radius. It also gets a full Underbody Armor, Dynamic suspension and Ultravision with waterproof underbody camera which helps you to know each and every detail that the normal eye would miss. 


2. Extract mode 



This feature is helpful when you are off-roading and find yourself in a tough spot, the Hummer EV activates its Adaptive Air Ride Suspension to raise approx. 6" to surmount tough obstacles.


3. Crabwalk



Now Crabwalk is a feature that got me  even more thrilled for the supertruck. It is a revolutionary setting that will turn the rear wheels upto 10 degrees in either direction allowing the truck to drive diagonally at low speeds. This technology is just jaw dropping and every company should adapt this.


4. Interior



The truck has a beautiful interior, it has a lunar Horizon themed interior, all weather flooring, a 12.3" Driver Information Centre display and a centre-mounted 13.4" touchscreen Infotainment System.


5. Battery



It will be the first in the market with GM’s next-generation EV platform and batteries, known as Ultium. The chemistry of the batteries will allow GM to use 70% less cobalt – an expensive element found in EV batteries – than GM’s previous generation of EVs. The 800DC Fast Charging gives 100 miles of charge in 10 minute and a range of 350+ miles.




 If all these facts and  figures are present when the car is delivered, the Hummer EV will be a revolution globally as no one has seen such specs together before. The Hummer EV Edition 1 is  starting at $112,595 .
